Digital/Event: T-Lab

Key Words: Flexible, approachable, hexagonal.

The Challenge:
To design a website for T-Lab—specialising in groundbreaking technology for the future—that avoids stereotypical futuristic design and doesn’t alienate the audience, but instead paints a future that’s inviting, inclusive and hopeful.

The Solution:
To bring something from the past into the future. Along with a modern sans serif,
a mono typeface was used throughout to represent typewriters. A soft neutral and vibrant blue colour palette was selected to offer both comfort and excitement. The graphics reflect the current work of T-Lab, to create lightweight and flexible shapes using hexagons as a starting point.

[—0—] I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land I live, work, and play on, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. Always was, always will be.
